SUMMER TRIPS
College for Cambodia hosts a summer trip to Cambodia every year. The trip lasts for about 2 weeks, and the members of CFC have the opportunities to meet their pen pals and directly engage with Cambodian students. Previously (~2018), CFC has visited the Cambodian Children's Fund organization in Phnom Penh. Beginning 2018, as CFC partnered with the Pon Heary Ly organization, visiting the Pon Heary Ly organization in Siem Reap was also added to the summer trip agenda.
In addition to visiting our partner organizations, the summer trip involves opportunities for members of CFC to explore the beautiful and historic cities of Cambodia (Phnom Penh and Siem Reap). We engage with the local communities and always strive to appreciate and embrace Cambodian culture with an openminded outlook.
Phillips Academy Andover Tang Institute's 'Learning in the World (LitW)' program
One of CFC's current GOALS is to officialize our summer trip as a part of the Phillips Academy Andover 'Learning in the World' program.
We acknowledge the high financial costs of participating in the CFC summer trip to Cambodia. This has made the trip inaccessible to many eager students who have not been able to go on the trip due to financial difficulties.
By officializing the trip as a Phillips Academy sponsored program, more students will be able to participate in the trip while receiving financial support for the trip's cost.
We believe that the CFC summer trip to Cambodia is an invaluable experience that allows Andover students to acquire novel perspectives as they embrace new cultures and engage with local communities.

Cambodian Children's Fund (Phnom Penh ~2018)
Visiting Cambodian Children's Fund, the members of College for Cambodia were able to meet their pen pals and actively engage with the Cambodian students.
We participated in various academic activities while also playing fun games, and most importantly, becoming great friends with each and every one of the students.
Pon Heary Ly Foundation (Siem Reap 2018~)
Starting 2018, visiting Pon Heary Ly Foundation in Siem Reap, CFC's new partner organization, was added to the summer trip program. Members of CFC closely engage with the students in PLF, participating in both academic and non-academic programs with them. Some highlights from the year 2018 were singing together along the ukulele, reading books together, and playing chess.
